Alyssa Martinez

Head Coach

Coach Alyssa Martinez began swimming in Las Vegas, NV at age 5 for the Clark County Sandpipers. During her Junior year of high school she became the team captain of her club team, as well as the captain of her high school team. Coach Alyssa attended University of San Diego where she continued her swimming career and earned most dedicated swimmer award her senior year. She studied psychology and leadership in school. Through her competitive career, she found a passion for teaching and coaching swimming. She became a lifeguard and swim instructor at 17 and has continued to coach, teach swim lessons, and lifeguard since then. Previous to coaching at FSS she coached for her own club team, college team and SAKA. She is currently a Mental Health clinician working with the Autistic youth population at Child Guidance Resource Center in Havertown.

Michael Neuss

Coach Mike Neuss grew up in the Cincinnati, Ohio area and swam competitively for the Powel Crosley, Jr. YMCA Tigersharks.  He graduated from Pomona College in 2005, where he was a proud Sagehen swimmer for two seasons (chirp!).  Coach Mike has spent many years working as a swim instructor.  Previously, he has served as an assistant coach and later the head coach of the Wyoming Swim Club in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Coach Mike is currently finishing his PhD in history at Columbia University. His wife Alex is a second-year resident in pediatrics at CHOP.

Kim Davis

Coach Kim Davis was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. She followed her older brothers into swimming by taking lessons early in life and joining Husky Swim Club at the age of 7. She swam year round for her USS club and swam for her high school swim team, where she was voted co-captain her senior year. Coach Kim then attended Oberlin College where she swam all four years, earned recognition for her leadership and was twice voted team captain. She graduated in 2006, started working for Starbucks in 2007 and is currently a store manager in Center City. She enjoys traveling, reading and hiking but is still in love with swimming after all these years. 

Anne Miller

Coach Anne Miller began swimming at age 6 and her swimming career culminated in 4 years on the varsity team at Swarthmore College. While at Swarthmore, Anne was captain for 3 years, set multiple college records, earned recognition as a Division III All American 7 times, and set the Centennial Conference record in the 200 butterfly. Anne's coaching experience includes acting as head coach for a summer club in Montana, working with the Swarthmore Swim Club, and teaching Aquatics I and II at Swarthmore College. Currently, Coach Anne works as the Training and Quality Assurance Superviser at Staffmore and swims casually with the Philadelphia FINS.

Kristen DeGrazia

Coach Kristen DeGrazia is a senior at the University of Pennsylvania.  She began swimming in Long Island, NY for Team Suffolk and also competed for her high school varsity team from seventh grade on. She was captain of both her club and varsity teams her senior year and served as the Metropolitan Junior Athlete Representative at the USA Swimming Convention. She began coaching at a semi-competitve level at the age of fifteen when she began lifeguarding, and has worked with Coach Mike Schnur at the University of Pennsylvania's Swim Camp throughout her collegiate experience. In her free time she is a memberof UPenn's Ski Team, and will always be passionate about the sport of swimming whether it be competing or coaching.
